Looks like a Doug Wright killer.:sifone:

was over doug's shop the other day and he's got next generation 32 done and almost ready for paint. considering his boats are a top 3 contender now the new one will awesome to see run.

one thing that quite noticable is the size difference. dougs 32 looks so much bigger.

i just hope x-cat doesn't turn into all flat water racing.

does anyone know if nicolini has built any more of his class one type hulls ??

Would you have any more pictures of the transom area and underneath?

Looks like a (shrunken) MTI from the angle the pictures are taken.

It looks similar to the QATAR boat which he built with a newer canopy. The transom looks weird , almost like they may put a rudder on it......

A new X-Cat boat will run you about $200,000.00 , get it to the middle east, fly back and fourth, hotels, entries, insurance, fuel, rental cars, fuel.........

Why don't we just run these boats, here, in the states and build this class to what it should be.......looks like we'll be 8 boats strong in KW......

ryan you guys ever think of allowing the 300 xs motors and letting them knock off some weight to level the field.

is there a rule agianst the rudder ?

the bustle seems to be the wrong way ? receased instead of extended

In OSS, ANY STOCK outboard is allowed 300HP or less......I do not know what the recess is for a rudder maybe or a trim ram for a tunnel tab.....I don't know the exact rules or legality of either over there. I know Qatar's tunnel tab WAS deemed illegal.....

Almost looks like it can be rigged with triples.

Well that's a thought.....I have been somewhat vocal in the past about this.....I agree with you bro!!!!!

Now then between you guys and SVL there's the making of some good competitive racing with boats actually having to work for their trophy and flag!!!!!

I've actually talked to 4 new people, in the last week, that are talking about RACING in the states in an SS boat next season, so if we actually get a couple of those it will be a step in the right direction.....

ryan i question would be, would you let the 'truely" stock outboard boats weigh less since the 300xs gives up about 2000 rpm ?

When someone actually builds a RACEBOAT and shows up with one that bridge will be crossed. People have asked that the other motors be made legal and they WERE at the beginning of the year. STILL no one has shown up with a boat with ANY motor other than a 2.5/280.

People have asked for the rules to be changed, they were , now there asking for them to be changed AGAIN but still no boats?

The rules are, what they are for the 280, they really have not changed in 11 years, why not run with what the other 35 Xcat boats in the world are already running????

some people would like to be able to use their race boats as pleasure boats.
i was just trying to get a sense of what your thought was on that aspect.

theres a lot of guys, i think that would like to have a race boat and still have go-fast pleasure boat. honestly, i not trying to irratate you just wondering your opion.

having owned cats with 300x's and having been around people that have used the 2.5s for pleasure and race the 300xs would fill that gap for both race and pleasure.

next, i think thers a lot of people would like to do some races but don't have the money for just a purpose built race boat.

just throwing ideas out there.
