ATTENTION !!!!! Boat Needed for Key West

92.7 on December 31,2008 @ Lake Wylie, NC(south side of Charlotte)
Factors:
1) 25 degrees
2) 150 lbs under F1 regs
3)31 Hydro twisted down to 30.5(took 5-10 minutes to get on plane)
4)took approx 4 miles to get to that speed

Its about as official as any Mike Fiore fastest vee speed

SO ITS ALMOST A P-3 BOAT !!!! WOW

Happy Racing.

Yes Bruce I remember that race as well as many others when it gets the slight bit snotty, I shead a ton of speed.

Kilo and race setups are apples and oranges. ie Hard Rock has a kilo record of 120, in Clearwater his top avg lap was 94.8, so what was his top speed 105??? Thats a far cry from 120...

P-CLASS and SVU is apple and oranges too.

In the rules it says,,,," max speed at the best given conditions " or something like that.

So best condition your boat runs ~90,,,,mmmmmhhh, u need to prop down to run P-4 ! LOL

OK I mean this in the most sincere way, but with your pleathera of mechanical knowledge you would know that humidity and temp affect a motors performance. A rule of thumb that I was told in the past that it takes 20% of your total hp away. Why do you think we ice bag the motors when going for kilos? When have you ever raced @ 25 degrees? Back in the old country thats below 0 degrees Celsius... Also with it taking 5-10 minutes to get a tall wheel on plane at the start even as slow as your boat is I would be a lap down to you, yes you. When has a straight away on a SBI course ever been 4 miles???

You act like you know so much and I guess a call to Frank helps you with your info on the history of my boat, but yet you dont take in to account the factors involved with that speed. Your letting me down DD, I thought you knew everything, well thats how you post on here.......

Trent,,i never said i know everything,,,and i understand your anger,,,but all i am saying is if u would not sound like Coach and brag about everything u probable would of been in P-5.

C-YA in KW

Ps.: yes i did call Frank because i wanted to make shure i don't post wrong things about your boat. Was that the wrong thing to do ??!!
Then i am sorry.

Get your boat ready !!!!!! Stop playing.

Heres the bottom line DD while your calling the former owner of my boat about the history, why dont you ask him about what class he felt that my boat should race in before he flip flopped after SBI made their ruling. I normally run a 27 in F1 trim(per SBI's p-class prop calc =78.75) and just go down to a 26(per SBI's p-class prop calc=75.83) Also SAFETY is my main concern and as you have said I get my a$$ handed to me and Bruce saying that he passed me while racing in P5 and my boat was a P4(80 mph top speed APBA). If kilos were a race I would step up, but when you add conditions and temp, I value my life, evidently SBI doesnt anymore

Then u should talk to SBI ,,not on SOS about this ,,,and i agree.
I never said u should be in P-4 , did i ????
What diffrents does it make if i ask Frank.....you own the boat, your in it , its your health , not mine ,Franks or anybody elses.

Right a letter to SBI, or race in P-4 or don't race !!! I got my own problems with my old baby.

DO WHAT U GOT TO DO.
As far as i am concerned , Dee's and my boat are the only true P-4 boats anyway.

Maybe your unoficial race adviser can help u ???:willy_nilly:

You hit the nail on the head, I have choices and I have already made my choice, yesterday in fact. I went to the "Technical Consultant" and that got me no where so I guess that position holds as much weight as "Race Advisor" And no you never said I should be in P4, you said P3.......

oh the boat has been ready since Tuesday, I can play now lol
