I didn't see them after the race, I think only the crew came to awards, and I am sure it was done as a gesture to the fans on his last lap. It wasn't a goof and no other circumstances. The fans waved and screamed every time they went by all day. We need to see their onboard camera.

One boat years ago came that close to the Ocean Key House.....it was that Hawaii boat and his helicopter was right behind him on his tail and we could eyeball them from the 2nd floor.
Was anyone at the Nassau race in the Bahamas when one of the choppers went UNDER the bridge?

Hi Pat and Rat,
I hope to make it for one of the days. My friend from Doha Qatar, Sheik Hassan is bringing two of his boats and I'd sure like to be there to support his effort in the USA. He's been such a tremendous help to Unlimiteds. Most interesting, he is perhaps one of the most humble people I've met in racing. We leave for Qatar (our world championships) that Monday after Key West. Need special permission from my wife for Key West

This is a crappy picture-of-a-picture but I think it's one of the best quality shots that's been taken of my boat... It looks much better in person... Thank you boatpix.
The seas were 2-3' this day and we had a 20 mph headwind running low 60's mph. Me, my wife, her cousin and her cousins friend comin across.
