Old Cig?

Back then the drives where so deep that the gearcase above the prop "Was The Skeg". It wasn't until The 38' Cougar Cat Favya Made a Mocked up extension box (at Lake X) and raised the drive to Mock an arneson drive for prop hight that anyone needed a skeg. Now most of the drive is out of the water and the skeg is needed to steer. Btw, That was the fastest offshore Boat to ever cross the lake when they figured out the right hight for the prop, it outshined the arneson in Trimability.

That boat Favya Cat 1 went from 102 to 112 as I remember it with the standoff boxes.

I think it was more substantial than 10mph. I remember Peter C from cougar being Very excited about it as was Bob Idoni, But Bob wasn't telling much. Then the second boat to get standoff boxes was Danny's Powerplay, He was pretty excited about the gains also but Not happy we had to raise his hatches 4".
