They released it too early. They had a security issue with the software, and a hardware issue. The ones released had a slower, older software version.

Hold off on forming an opinion untill the latest software comes out. I think typing will never be as fast as buttons, but the rest of the phone may make up for it.

I played with one for about a half hour with the old laggy software.

That's why I'm waiting, waiting until they get the majority of the bugs worked out. The time to market anymore is ridiculous, heaven forbid anybody waits until their junk works the way it should to release it

I'm very impressed with mine, although it could do with a bigger battery. Took me a day or so to get used to the keyboard, having been using a BB 8310 for a while.

I love it!

The battery sucks, you have to charge it nightly, and I wish you could get SMS text but other than that................

Missed you last weekend. We got the boats finished up and winterized Slim while we were at it.

SO everyone said don't buy anything till the Storm comes out..now they are saying wait till the better one comes out????

Ok so when do we think there will be a new release. I am about due for a phone upgrade at work and I am going to go back to a blackberry, is it going to be worth the wait.

I phone isn't an option for me as it will not work with our e-mail system..or if it does we haven't been able to make it work, same with the instinct.

Go with the BB curve is you want to stay on verizon and don't feel like playing with the Storm.

My nephew was one of the first to get one. I'm going to wait a month to see what problems he has till I get one.

I recently upgraded the software on my Blackjack I from Windows Mobile 5.0 to 6.0. I am very pleased with the results.

Blackberry does NOT run Windows Mobile, and that is a "deal breaker" for me.
