I always had a problem with how many posts were deleted for personal reasons by moderators. Someone knows the person or company in question, or was involved in the questioned activity and didn't want the information out to the masses so the thread is deleted. I think the more deleted posts the less people will want to stay around. I personally think that a huge contributor to the downfall on OSO over the years. Too much politics and behind the scene dealings. Everyone hush hush over threads that just start as questions. WTF are bulletin boards for?? To share info, ask questions, etc.

Now I completely realize if people are out-right lying that's one thing. Or if someone is being a jack azz then THOSE POSTS should be deleted, but not the whole thread. And heated topics and discussions should be encouraged, not hampered or frowned upon.

I agree Tank. Some negative threads have even turned in to positives.

Every thing has a problem every now and then- it is how it is handled when it does.

Read the Gieco thread- the way it was handled was amazing and showed what MGR is really about.

Well I had to Poof 2 threads on here tonite and let me tell ya it sucks. But they were done after there was contact with the original poster's and it was explained why and they were given the choice to do it themselves before I did anything. I think if the OSO guys would aleast do that it would have helped but they just poof without any explaination al all. I think that is the root of there problem. I hate doing it.
