2012 is going to be interesting around here,lets not start from now
The next few years, maybe more are going to be very interesting economy wise to say the least.There is no reason why we can not debate these issues but as others have said please leave the insults out of it.
I liked Palin I was wrong she really disappointed me and she is done politically in my opinion.

Probly a good thing that elections only come around every 4 years, huh?
My comment about the 'size' of this story has to do with how utterly UNQUALIFIED palin is for national office, and the fact that a presidential candidate would choose such a person with NO REGARD for the potential consequences for the country by making the move. A fact that seems to be totally overlooked by most everybody on the right.
Imagine this airhead negotiating missle defense treaties with Vladimir Putin.

Writing about Sarah Palin always presents a quandary. Does one operate under the usual assumption that this is a rational figure, a serious politician, a rising Republican star . . . or do you acknowledge the copious evidence that she cannot tell the truth, has delusions of grandeur, has no policy record to speak of and quit her job as Alaska governor halfway through her first term because she is, in her own explanation, "not a quitter"? I think that you have to proceed under the assumption that this is a joke of a candidate and a symptom of a political party in the middle of a mental breakdown...
But trying to makes sense of Sarah Palin is a fool’s errand. I spent a lot of time last year trying to figure out how her bizarre pregnancy story could make any sense at all — it doesn’t — and came up with nothing but a suspicion that large parts of it were made up. If you present the facts to Palin spokespeople, they seem offended and regard you as some liberal hater. But the facts reveal she lies all the time about almost everything and so is probably improvising about her reasons for resigning.

"The elites hate her." The elites made her. It was the elites of the party, the McCain campaign and the conservative media that picked her and pushed her. The base barely knew who she was. It was the elites, from party operatives to public intellectuals, who advanced her and attacked those who said she lacked heft. She is a complete elite confection. She might as well have been a bonbon.
"She makes the Republican Party look inclusive." She makes the party look stupid, a party of the easily manipulated.

judging by the beating that Oby took from Putin last week, a BonBon could have done better... look for yourself Jay, it's all over the media in print, captioned, and video...:ack2: pay close attention to the Oby vs Putin sitdown stares at the round table conference... :bigear:
Jay, your affirmative action President has lowered the bar when it comes to unqualified. And if you don't see that you are simply not facing facts. My posits on this before the inauguration said that his approval would head rapidly down, and it has. I also said he will fail miserably, and he has. IF Sarah Palin makes it to national office it will be the combination of the dumbing down of the elctorate that got O elected and the utter failure of O, Pelosi, et al to do anything perceived as good for this country. And you have to admit, if O can't keep ratings up with a fawning press to cover him, he has to be monumentally failing.

Obama the candidate vs Obama the president. It's a lot easier to make promises than it is to keep them.

Just a minor fact check, but Blarney is actually hesitant on whether the repaid TARP funds should be "recycled" or actually serve to reduce the balance.
Gheitner is pushing to keep the program running with repaid monies.
