Palin Announces Resignation

Seriously, you're right, the vodka adds more f bombs than necessary. But someone has the state the obvious. She is a political dolt, the real life equivalent of "Goldie Hawn Goes to DC". Some traditional Conservatives, who don't invest their entire political propaganda intake on cable news, realized long ago how hollow and dangerous her character is in the ever-progressing story of the Conservative movement.

Regardless of political persuasion, it is obvious she is drilling huge holes on the hull of the SS Conservative Movement and most of the loyal followers are simply commenting on how hot she looks holding the drill. My previous post may not have possessed eloquent diatribe, but it's becoming an embarrassment to watch from the rest of the fleet as this ship goes down. Years later, people will look back with anger at Mccain's choice and Palin public existence. Alaskans already are.

Sorry if I offend, but I'd rather NOT see the Republican party go forward investing its future in a presidential candidate GAURANTEED to get Obama's re-elected.

Someone please keep this post for December 2012 as the first person to assure you that palin will get Obama re-elected. You might then hear him say, "I just gained huge political capital, and I intend to spend it."

Who picked you to be that someone. You might want to learn how to spell also.

That's twice you've hurled insults at me and offered no input that redirects the discussion from my point. It means either:

1. you don't possess the knowledge and forsight to make an argument, or

2. since my comments were my own and not lifted from a cable news source, your "Palin-loving talking points guide" doesn't give you a specific response to my points.

either way, i don't care if my fast typing leads to mispellings. You obvious can figure out what I'm saying.

And it's not that i have been 'picked' to be that someone. I am stating the obvious and you seem more offended that I am pointing out reality than you are pleased to be enlightened. if you want the precious Republican party to get back in power, quit hitching your wagons to dead donkeys.

Just a small reminder guys, we debate/differ with the message, not shoot the messenger......

And this is kind of an interesting review of a major national issue which effects us all....

I more offended that you think you know everything, and feel the need to point out your useless thoughts to us less knowledgeble people. It's better to keep you mouth shut and thought to be dumb, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Feel free not to point out your own thoughts. Nobody cares, other than you.

Sorry guys, some people just tend to chap my azz.

Him hurling the f-bombs at will just struck my last nerve.

He apologized, get over it...

And both of your insight is appreciated by me when you give it without the personal stuff....

I always say in business, I do not want a team of yes men, you end up with something that's worthless. But, it is never personal

And, you have still not updated your thread on how you're doing. Go find that, or start another, and let us know. We do give a damn you know and are concerned.

And Joe is right Cat, F bombs really aren't a requirement for us to pay attention....:sifone:

Gentlemen, please remember that this in an open forum and if you cannot keep this thread civil, it will be quarantined for review by the admin of Serious. In order to prevent that from happening, may I suggest that you think before you type.
Healthy discussion, even with opposing views does not need to degrade to the level of personal attacks between members which is against the forum rules here on Serious.

Vodka tends to bring the f bombs out. I remain unconcerned about any hurling insults at me. What sounds troubling is the idea that no one should express opinions on a chat board.

Regarding this whole Palin farce, the poorly-guided RNC keeps telling everyone 2+2=6 and people like me get called out to the carpet for claiming it's 4. I prefer reality over deception. But then, there's slot of money to be made pushing propagandy.

The only reason we're still talking about her is because she's hot. The only people talking about her ever running for office again are the media. Take the partisan viewpoints away and boil her down to her experience and capabilities; she's lower on that scale than BO.

I was vehemently supportive of Romney because he'll bring (hopefully) a more rigorous business background to the job and a focus on controlling the bottom line instead of spending and borrowing into oblivion. It's unfortunate that the religous Republicans discount him because of his religion; cutting off the nose to spite the face. And that's the classic, typical MO of the Republicans these days...cowering to an ever shrinking "base" and losing elections.

Gingrich has the conservative base, but he's been gone for so long that many forget who he was and where he stood. Even I will have to go back and re-read some history to refresh my insight.

But the bottom line is, why cater to a shrinking base? Yeah, you need to raise money. But at the end of the day you need votes. The simple metrics are that the general population votes for what they need. They don't need religion, they don't need protectionism, they don't need a handout. More often than not, they need government, be it Republican or Democrat, to stay out of their way.

Interesting insight. Gotta think about that one.....

Very True, but this is america where it was founded on one being able to pratice his own religion. that being said, I think Obama being elected has broken down the barriers, if a black man can be president why cant a Mormon? especially one that has been a govener in a state that has never prospered and made it prosperous. Kennedy gets credit for the healthcare corrections that went on in Mass, but Mitt Romney had just as much if not more to do with it, as gov, his budget was in charge of it.

Same goes for Newt, he was considered a rebel back in the day, but his books and speeches since he left being speaker of the house, have proven that his ideology works.

My hope for america is this; Socialism isnt the answer, can we help people? yes, but those same people have to want to help themselves, I think, as simple as it sounds that gov should be run like a business, and Clinton had to shut it down, because it wasnt profitable, GW didnt, nor did his Father or Reagan. Obama has blown through his money, and now is looking to replenish the only way they legally can, by taxing the workers and companies, it's a cash cow. Whereas as a business we all know instead of taking more in times of crisis, we should cut back. this administration hasnt.

.

Let me repeat myself for you.

"Healthy discussion, even with opposing views does not need to degrade to the level of personal attacks between members which is against the forum rules here on Serious."

Do abstaining from using "F-bombs" and "personal insults" preclude expressing an opinion during a conversation amongst adults?

Guys,
That's it. Please discontinue insulting eachother, stick to debating the topics at hand. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
