Offshore racing on the Food Network?

Well, not really. I was surfing through the channels, and checked out the food channel (yeah, I like some of the shows), and see that the show Diners, Drive ins and drives was on. They go to different restaurants and check them out.

Well, the're in a bar, and I see a model of an offshore boat in the background, behind the bar. I only caught a minute of it, but you guessed it, they were at the Black Duck in Connecticut. I doubt they got into the boat racing thing, but sure was cool seeing that Shadow CAt model behind the bar.

They repeat the show a lot. I'll try to catch it next time.

My Dad's place...

That is a gas powered model of the race boat behind the bar. They also showed the world chanpionship winning Cougar Bub out on the front deck a few times.

Thanks Mac. Didn't see that thread. Guess I don't hang out in the bar enough :cheers2:

Cool. The boat was a giveaway. I knew it was the Black Duck without even hearing the name (only caught 30 seconds of the show). Growing up in Pt. Pleasant Beach, I got to see your dad's boat and all the others each year for the Bennihanna.

Hope to catch the entire segment next time it's on.
