running out of methanol not fuel, yes burnt pistons, heat ,detonation

Runnin out of Meth DUH fill the friggin tanks , burnt pistons ?????? Do you know how to tune & read plugs ??? chit dont know whos building your stuff but we had 200-220 hours on these motors , 12-16 lbs of B@@ST can't keep #6s on , and no issues i got a call on the heads that are being flowed that there 100% and no sign of detonation at all ... So i guess just run on 118 barrell fuel , what kinda power were you makin ???? are these the motors Jazzman said you ran 112 mph and he won some bet around SHOOTOUT time ??? just curious ???? :biggrinjester:

No not lil. Just don't pay to have it done by others. Pistons, rings, and block work don't cost that much......but I'm sure if you are running the system you'll find out just how much it costs.:rofl:

It's not a new thing to do with motors running PSI so I hope it's getting worked out for boats. Guys have been injecting water in turbo motors for over thirty years.

just saying , if anything fails on the ice system motor is toast, I'm looking at system myself, just weighing the risks. Seen one get toasted at the shootout in short order on another Skater. 130mph in a mile on 36" wheels , pretty damn fast. mid 140's next year.

exactly it's a cool system, but not really new, when we would run nitrous on big motors, we would just plumb the nozzles to a tank that had 106 in it, that way when we were at wot, it was spraying good fuel which stopped detonation. and this was in the mid 80's when we did this.

Wait till a pump,wire,no alk,or many other small things that might and will go wrong.



Wire ??? connections soldered & shrinked, keep extra alky around, Pump ???? when the blowers or motors are refreshed toss the pumps and buy 2 new ones ... there pocket change compared to what other things on these boats cost ..:rofl:
