The Official NASCAR Thread

Wow, what a wild finish. Mark Martin takes the checkers after Biffle and JJ both run out of gas on the final lap. JJ ended up 22.

Third win of the year for Mark Martin.

Todays race is a road race....

that I'm probably not gonna watch :leaving:

You aren't gonna watch Kyle Baby????:ack2:

"Busch was asked about the public controversy over his smashing a trophy guitar in Victory Lane after winning a Nationwide race at Nashville last week.

"It was fun and a lot of people enjoyed it and thought it was different -- the sport's not so vanilla," Busch said.
"A lot of people hated it and I guess those are the ones with '88' [Earnhardt's current car number] tattooed on their arms," Busch continued, his little smile growing ever more mischievous. "Or maybe still '8' [Earnhardt's old car number]."
His cannon thus primed and loaded, Busch fired: "I've got no issues with Junior -- it's his fans that are crazy, but that's all right."

Then Busch poured it on. With all the hoopla over the guitar smashing, "Sounds to me like the most popular driver award goes to Kyle Busch this year, right?" he said."

He is a such a card.

I was gonna go boating, but the radar says stay home. Maybe I'll watch the race anyway.

Todays race is the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Tony Stewart has the pole and Jeff Gordon has the outside front.

TNT coverage starts at 12:30 Central.

I kinda like watchin em do something besides turn left-- brings out some new truths about driving ability, no?

Me too.

I just wish they would modify the tracks with a couple of big sweepers for exciting passing opportunities....

Joey Logano get his first cup win courtesy of Ma Nature. The youngest driver to win in cup history.

But I still hate Toyota.

Happy 4th everyone. That means racing under the lights at Daytona for the Pepsi 400, errrrrr, make that the Coke Zero 400

Qualifying was rained out for the second week in a row, so Smoke will start on the pole with Jeff Gordon on the outside.

Huge United States flag and a great performance of our Nation Anthem. Gotta love July 4th :USA:
