Why are the numbers on a calculator and a phone reversed?
Because the phone was invented so long ago that they didn't even consider ergonomics. They started with the 1 and listed the rest. Calculators were invented later, and they knew that the calculator would be used repeatedly for hours. The went bottom to top and placed the decimal, the zero, and the operators used more often lower.
