The article does not provide the $787 billion figure as a total of the jobs program. Rather, it is given as the total stimulus package budget. It simply states that the creation of preservation of 600,000 will be one goal of the stimulus package. Nowhere in the report that you cite, nor in any other written or verbal announcement of the initiative does anyone suggest that the entire $787 billion was, or will be spent solely on the 600,000 jobs to be created or preserved.

Don't get me wrong, I think that both the $787 billion stimulus plan AND the smaller jobs component contained within it are a waste. But your equation takes unrelated statistics and puts them together to come to an inaccurate conclusion. But I do agree that it is still a waste.

Yes, I know. I am sure that the vast majority of the money will be used for capital, not labor. But, the headline is touting that Obama is creating jobs, when in reality he is not.

It won't be long before his administration will say that we need to be more fiscally responsible, and that's when the tax hike come!

I think that the vast majority will be to bail out companies that then go bankrupt anyway.

I read somewhere that banks receiving Federal "bailout" money have no intention of loaning out the money to comsumers. They plan to use that money to buy other banks! It just pis$ed me off!

Every one I know is approved; yes- including me! We don't get "sick leave"- if you are sick you get paid and FLMA means you can't be disciplined = 12 extra weeks of leave a year!
