Visited Skater Last Friday

Pete has been a freind of ours (wife and I) for years

One of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet and one heck of a boat builder

We are fortunate to get to the plant a few times a year and always have a great time walking through the shop and seeing what is new

Lunch with Pete is always a highlight and you cant forget to go get his mail on the way back :)

One of the trully good guys in the industry

More........ and yes those are bazooka tubes on the blue cat.

I really like this flat deck OB.

Flat deck is really a misnomer.... The correct term should be custom deck, because, unlike the competition, there are few straight lines on a Skater deck...... or sides for that matter. If you don't think that is significant than why didn't mother nature make an egg in the shape of a cube?

I have always been interested in boat design and construction. Can someone help me understand the differences in the way Skater, MTI, Outerlimits, Nor-Tech build their boats? Different materials? Different process?
Just trying to educate myself.
