I think I got my facts backwards when we were talking the other day (but Jo can set us straight)... I think the Mig was the 3rd lightest 28 ever and Wallin's or Mange's boat was the lightest. Either way, the Mig seemed like a potato chip to me. I felt like I was standing up in a canoe when I got in it.

Wallin, we're expecting big things from your new motor, brother! :D

I till this day kick myself in the aszzzz for not going out in the Mig whenever Albert called...It was always the wrong time...DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!!!!!!!

I think Brian's has to be the fastest pleasure, but I don't think it was as quick as the Mig (less HP and more weight).

Hahaha I'm putting in a new piston today:ack2::blush5:.

The intercooler wasn't getting enough water because of the damn pickup and it might have wanted a bit more fuel as well.

The new pickup will be ready to mount on friday, the motor is hopefully ready today.

I need another prop though. I had 24% slip with this labbed Bravo 31 at 5950rpm and 89mph (and obviously knocking like hell, judging by the look of the piston...:willy_nilly:). It has way to much stern lift or way to little bow lift, it chine walked like crazy above 80mph.

I will probably give the prop a bit more cup to help lift the bow and keeping the rpms below 6000.

My goal is 95mph, so we'll see...

Don't they make a bow lifting Maximus? Sounds like you need more blades in the water with that slip number! :)
I had 11% with a std Bravo 28 at WOT so I just need to get it right with a faster prop. It's hard enough to find 4 blade props with the correct pitch here in Sweden...:ack2:

What do you need Tomas??
I've got the time to look around.

I really don't know for the moment, I'll try to get my hands on a std Bravo 30 to see where it gets me and get me a baseline.

I'll get back to you Tim! Thanks!

I was thinking a bit more about this... there are a number of twin engine race boats around. Opa's boat has 500s I'd heard which means it's putting two props and a thousand HP down (give or take)... The twin motored race boats have to be faster... I'd think.

Does anyone know any of those guys? How do we get them to come play with us on the board?

not always, weight and rpm is a big factor......

Funny i was thinking about Sonny's twin 525 boat.
He was running mid 90s i think.
Not sure if he ever got her really opened up.

Race... sort of like Mike B's boat.
