We are in the middle of putting our new book together and we ran across some old history here that we thought may be of interest to the boat buyers of today.

These were the state of the art in offshore racing in 1976 / 77 era. Each engine was in the 20 to 23 thousand dollar range and you could buy a new 39 foot Cigarette for $17,500.

Nice! And it includes the drive!!

What's interesting is the price of the base engine realy hasn't changed much if you do the work yourself!

Now the boat on the other hand, that would be nice!!!!
