The water look tropical up there.

I say we should plan a weekend up there this summer.

We normally go for a few days over the 4th, not sure about this year I think I might do Lake Charloviox instead. You guys should come to harbor fest in South Haven, starts June 18th and goes all weekend. Ask Popeye Brad about it that his old stomping grounds.

That's it.
Beached there a few times myself. Pass by it at least a few times a season on my way up to Starved Rock from Peoria. Just past the bridge to the North off to the right, you can anchor out in some decent depth water and pretty much get out of the current. We'll anchor there and swim if the river is down and clean. Otherwise we anchor in the old gravel pit South of Henry if we want to get in the water.

I've never been in the gravel pit. I will have to check that out.

South Puget Sound, Washington. We live on Hale Pass, just South of the Tacoma Narrows bridge.

Check out www.nwoffshore.com this is out local performance boating site that will give you a good idea of performance boating in the Great Pacific Northwest.

Local "Fun Run" gallery: http://www.nwoffshore.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=578, I'm not sure if you have to sign in or not, but a site worth joining.

Picture of the boat (same as avatar) in on the bouy infront of the house.
Google Earth picture of Puget Sound. We are on the North Side of Hale Pass, about a mile east of the Fox Island Bridge (see tag labeled "The Bare's"). We look at Fox Island. Great place for boating.

A good friend bought a used Formula from them two years ago, drove my wifes Excursion down to pick it up.It was 999 miles to the marina. They seem like really nice folks at Arrowhead.Blew me away to drive in that little road and come up to all those boats in the marina. Then when we left we got gas at that Sinclar gas station, have not seen one of those since the 70's.
