Boatpix-what's the best deal you made?

So I got the letter yesterday. The pics are supposedly dated March 2008; nothing like timeliness. I've read the horror stories so no need to share how difficult these guys can be. Just tell me what kind of deal you struck. I'll see what kind of deal I can get out of them before I mention I sold the boat last year.

That's funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing before I opened the thread. Their reputation is so bad that it isn't even worth opening the envelope.

"Package? What package?...I didn't get any package? Did I authorize you to take pics of me? Did I ask you to mail me anything? No, I didn't think so. Fvck off."

I think that's about the best deal you can make.

I hate those phuckers. Bottom line is, I can't stand any unsolicited "deals."

Attached is a pic I took of them. Send it back to them with an invoice for 600 bucks.

post a hi rez copy of that so we can ALL print it out on 8.5X11 photopaper, lets get at least 20 of us to send them the same blow up pik with a $600 invoice.

We got 8 guys to pitch in 100 bucks each last year and got 2 hours of chopper time. 2000 pics and an hours worth of video. :)

I can get a good chopper rate if anybody wants filming on the west end of lake erie..good pilot, flew for Gieco in detroit.

So what you guys are saying, if I can read between the lines, is that I shouldn't give them the time of day at this point...

But d@mn I'm curious what the pics look like.

F'n pics cost me $50 just to look at them and send them back :(

I'll play devil's advocate. I know one person that got the pics last year, called them and had them send the proof's and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The pic is great, not sure it was worth the price paid tho.

What is a good rate?

Let me make sure I understand this correctly....

2 hours of flight time

2000 pics ??? 2000 Prints ? or Digital Negatives ?

1 hour of video

All for $800 ???

How did they even cover the chopper costs on that ???
