Heading to Miami Easter Weekend...

We're taking GORDO to the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute on April 10th. Going to make it a long weekend and take advantage of some Florida sun.

Any suggestions on where to stay? I want close to the beach!! I'm guessing it's going to be best to stay in Miami Beach?

Loews on South Beach is nice w/o being outrageously priced.

The Tides on Ocean Ave centrally located great place stay there all the time a bit spendy but personalized service.

Easy shot across the causeway from either of those hotels to BP.. Great place, I do not think you could have made a better choice. If you need anything whilst our down here, shoot me a note

we own 2 condos in south beach, we travel down once a month, when our units are rented I go to vacation rentals by owners, this will save you approx 14% room tax and you will find there are 100 's of places to stay and owners are flexible.
Both hotels mentioned above are great places to stay, before we owned our condos we stayed at the tides often.
If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood, stay south of fifth, everything is with in walking distance or a short cab ride.

Check www.vrbo.com before you book anything. You can get some great deals there.
Some of the vrbo places come with parking included. Remember, you will pay $20-30+ a night to park a car in SoBe.

WOW...looks really niiiice! It's about $200 a night for a standard room. I'm going to try and talk the Mr. into it!

also looked at the Indian Creek, Hotel Chelsea and the Clay Hotel (it's the cheapest!)
