    Upcoming surgery
    #1
I recently had problems with vision in my eyes and had an appt with my eye doctor. I was told to go to Michigan Retina Consultants to have top person to get a look in my eyes. It turned out that there are tiny bleeding in both my eyes due diabetes (yes, I have diabetes since 1984). I had 2 rounds of laser surgeries in my left eye recently. I am scheduled for surgery in my right eye on Tuesday Dec 7th. Right now I am trying to keep myself in calm mode. This whole thing freaked me out.

So I am asking you to pray for me to go through this.

    I appreciate it.

The purpose of right eye surgery is to remove tiny bleeding so I can see again.

No, I will be wide awake during surgery! I prefer to put myself through sleep but the doctor said it is very dangerous to do that especially with diabetes

I had the lens replacement surgery last year and was awake thru it, kinda weird.

Good luck with the surgery, thoughts and prayers.

Everyone says don't stress about having surgery, but I think it is human nature to do it a little. I just got home last night from left total knee replacement and like everyone says it does work out for the best. You and I both know one thing you don't mess around with is your vision, so get in there get it done and be on the road to recovery, good luck!!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and words. I am ok but getting nervous as time gets closer. My surgery is tomorrow at 6am. It will be done in time for my breakfast since I am diabetic.

I am in the "calm" mode but my mind isnt! I have my soon to be 5 years old daughter here to keep me company tonight.
