Video of an interview with a young soldier that was hit with a rocket propelled grenade. The RPG didn’t go off but impaled this young man. They talk with the crew and the Doctor that saved his life.



By the way military protocol prohibits other soldiers from helping, medivac helicopters from transporting and Doctors from working on a soldier with live ordinance in their body. They are to be surrounded with sand bags and left for dead. These guys broke all the rules and saved a life.



There are a few scenes of the operation that are a little gory. They show them pulling the RPG out of the soldier in the operating room.

Damn...I wish more people in this country could see stories like this...they have so much more meaning than any story about that dead pedophile Jackson. Our news media sucks.

We participated in the "Support Our Troops" poker run at LOTO a couple of weeks ago...over 100 boats participated. Instead of taking friends we volunteered to take 2 soldiers from the Wounded Warriors program. They had a great time and it was very humbling to hear what they had gone thru... Both had been on 3 tours to Iraq and Afganistan; one had to have his stomach replaced with a plastic bag and was looking forward to another tour this fall! Needless to say we felt very good about being able to show them a good time and made certain to express our appreciation for what they had done and do for our country. The promoters of the run were able to donate $12,000 to Operation Homefront from the proceeds.
