Windows 7

Is it any good.

I have Vista and have been having lots of problems.
Thinking of upgrading with a new lap top and upgrading the OS on the old one and the PC to 7.

What choice do I have.

Windows 7 is excellent. Been using the RC for couple months now without issue.

I have been running on a couple of computers without issue. Most of the time it is better to wait until the first service pack to come out before upgrading. Since you have Vista I would say you would be very happy with Windows 7.

My advise - If you have Windows XP SP3, stay with XP until Windows 7 SP1 comes out.

If you have Vista, get Windows 7 today!

I'm running Vista on my laptop and haven't had a single issue. When I build my next desktop, I'll install Windows 7, SP1.

I upgraded my step dad's Vista laptop to 7 as soon as I could and he is already have less problems than he had with Vista.

At least I can say he is not calling me with as many problems as he did with Vista. :sifone:

I'm running Vista on my laptop and haven't had a single issue. When I build my next desktop, I'll install Windows 7, SP1.

We must be the lucky ones. I bought my wife a Sony laptop last year that is running Vista, and knock on wood, it's been problem-free.

As for my own desktop....it runs on OS X. :sifone:

Same here, been running WIndows 7 since it came out of Beta. No problems

I have Vista running on 4 desktops and XP on two laptops. I've had zero problems with Vista.

I think XP has gotten bloated and a little buggy since SP3 (conspirators think MS did this intensionally to move people out of XP).
