Keys crocodile swoops pet dog from dock

When Janet and Larry Porath and their visiting family returned to their Key Largo home from a late lunch out, they heard a splash as they relaxed in the waterfront backyard.
It was the sound of their pet dog, Roxie being pulled into the canal by a 10-foot crocodile looking for a meal.
According to the witnesses, the croc sprang at least four feet out of the water to snatch the 65-pound mixed breed head-first off the seawall.
Neighbors across the canal spotted the crocodile swimming a few feet from the Poraths' house. Roxie was in its mouth.
I'm really not positive about gators. It appears there are no attacks by gators any further south than Key Largo. But they say there is a population of them on Big Pine, which is closer to Key West by a bunch...
