to sell out America.

And this is why we will become a multi-lingual country (not that we aren't already) unless we get a Gov't that is going to mandate English.
But of course, that isn't going to happen, and it's already too late.
Business is making the decisions in the chase for the almighty (cough) dollar, and the Elected officials are following suit in the State, schools, etc... to remain, well, elected.
It's all about the money folks.

You wouldn't believe how many sprawl-marts are constructed by Mexicans, many of them illegals. I've been at many sprawl-marts under construction and when ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) shows up the Mexicans scatter like cockroaches.

Are they hiring?

:D

Seriously though, how does this further sell out America? One of our gripes about import cars is that even though many are built here, the profits go to the homeland. So in this case, the profits go to Arkansas. Chances are they'll at least "try" and source whatever produce they can from US farmers.

Maybe it will turn into a roach motel....

So, let me ask, are you happy to "press one for English, press two for Espanol"?

I have a weird thought on this, and is this not the same "separate but equal" from years ago, just now it is market driven instead of Gov't imposed?

We are no longer the "melting-pot", not at all.

Back to my original statement, if it'll make you more money... it must be a good thing, right? As long as SOMEBODY is making money, it's good for the country? Because God knows, if someone is making money, the current Gov't is going to get a piece of it.

Well, I grew up in Miami, currently live north of Ft Lauderdale, so another "non-Anglo" oriented shopping store doesn't strike me as too far out of the norm. Plus, while I'm sure there are still good "gringa" women down here, I still appreciate the varied cultures of the Latinas....:drool5:

Now, where I do get frustrated is when truly "public" areas get turned into something other than English first. Down here, EVERYTHING "public" or "government" that you come across is printed in English, Spanish and Creole. It's disgusting how easy we've made it for non-natives to not only survive, but prosper without ever learning the language.

BUT, I don't blame Walmart for that. Or Sedanos, or my favorite Little Havana restaurant. We've been weak on our immigration and border control efforts, and now that they're hear, they're infiltrating everything. I made a comment on the thread some time ago about the Muslim immigrants. How they'd come in and eventually take over everything and impose their "quality of life." That wasn't some far out joke; it's exactly what we're experiencing with the Latin population growth.
