Agree - I keep hearing about how all her friends got his - got that - I have to work today then pull a motor out of a friends Fountain to change the coupler this evening - all so her and I can spend time on the boat tomorrow together - but that doesn't mean chit cause I've got plans to turn wrenches tonight ... oh well....

I dont do cards or Hallmark holidays ... never have. Cards to me are like flowers, total waste of money. You read the card and then what? throw it away... you look at flowers for a minute .. think "pretty" and then end up throwin them away. If you want to buy me something that will only last a day, buy me alcohol :sifone:

What I hate about cards is the all make it sound like you have been a schmuck all year.I know I never tell you how I feel and I don't tell you how much I appreciate what you do.What about the guys that are not aholes all year long.

My least favorite holiday. If you really are into your lady, you don't need some retailer shaming you into buying her something on a certain day. The women in my life never had to wait for a holiday to receive a present to show them how I felt. Upside down the Valentine is an ass!

I never made a big deal out of it, just a couple phone calls or texts to let someone know that they were being thought of. I would do that any other day of the year so no biggie....

I'm supposed to make HER feel wanted and needed and loved for one day? I bust my ass all year keeping a roof over her head and all that goe's with it, when is my day? I like the steak and BJ day thing but that will NEVER happen. Hell, I took her out to dinner and got the card and candy the whole thing, nice night, The next day, I wanted to watch Daytona and have a day of R&R for myself and what did I get? *****ed at and made to feel like I was a lazy A-hole. I say F#$K Valentines Day................
