Unlimited Class And More Solid For SBI Season-Opener In Cocoa Beach

I really thought sv would follow suit.
but then again the supercat guys are who boycotted miklos and mike a. back in the day .so.............

Cant really find fault with him not going along with them.

I just wish who ever is going to take over just does it.

I mean pull the band aid already :biggrinjester:

I don't know paul . I do not know

Im on the outside looking in and so far no ones in the building so to speak.

no one is speaking up.

So I guess its back to usuall .

that must be ok ?

Frustrating.

Chatted with a couple of the SVL guys. The biggest issue there is there are still two different engine packages.

APBA affiliated clubs have both classes. Lake Race is planning on running them both. SBI only has the one SBI engine class.

I thought the SBI package was the best .
it was the middle road .
It was working .

That class should just sit down with each other and do like supercat.
Make their own minor changes to accommodate each other,

I loved the direction SBI was heading .but that changed ,its gone.thats that.

so supercat
super v
just keep plugging as owners groups .so you can help control where NEW offshore is heading.

That's ok isn't it?

Yep.

I think what will happen, from my info chatting with the racers.

The guys who have stock 525's will run them until there's no one left. So, a couple more years at most with the 525 SVL's. Then, unless some org screws it up again, the new SBI engine (SVLX), with the new lowered RPM, will be the norm.

However, I'm not sure a stock 525 won't keep up with the SBI engine with the lowered RPM. The 525 is allowed 5400 RPM. The SBI 510 engine is only allowed 5000 RPM.

Will be interesting to see at the Lake Race when they run both classes at the same time, (as of now)......

But...but...but.... If the unlimited class is now limited, wouldn't that mean the limited class is now unlimited, so why worry about motors??

Soooo my previous x-dim was 15 7/8ths.... anybody ever ran 18 on a 24/7 ?

I did on my third try .one more 1,8th and I would have made 16.
on the 24 ,7 -18 .
I dono 13 ? always scared me .
I know you can change a head gasket on a 502 block with out tearing the seal.

Is that what you meant ?

I never mess with the x on the transom for location. The only thing I look at is the prop centerline to the bottom of the boat.
