I swear this boat is gonna put me in an early grave. I ordered all new external drive trim hoses. Merc shows part #32-87558 for portside ram hose. I ordered new ones and the distance to the solid bend is a little over an inch short and the distance on the vertical jump is HUGE. It clearly will not work. what am I missing here?

It looks like the bend in the pipe is wrong ,,,,easy fix ?!

I hate when that happens. You pay good money for stuff than have to fix it. I would return it and get the right ones. It should not be your problem. Sure you could fix it. That's not why you bought a new part.

mmmmmhhhhhh,,,,,,,your right,,,but Jim ,,i guess we paid allot more for the aggrevation we have sometimes .LOL:sifone:

SEND THEM BACK,,,Jim is the man.

If he had to use them cause one failed and needed to run tomorrow yes fix it. If the ones he has work and he was updating return them.

Thanks Scott

You should have a casting part # in the ram that will match the line with, you have the longer ram, I'am sure, did you look it up or the parts man. If you get no help let me know having both port & stbd ram casting # and I'll give you the part # from what ever after-market or Mercs #. Mark

Mark, I thought only the internal hose rams came in two lengths. I don't recall TRS ever having two lengths. External lines only ever came in one length . The early short internal ones were on #3's and others. Am I wrong?
