This is a very popular Michigan DNR boat ramp with access to Lake Erie. Lots of Ohio and Michigan boaters use it. I guess the car was there for a week. Somebody hit it with their boat, and they found it. RIP to the deceased. :( I guess you just never know what's under there until you hit it.

MONROE TOWNSHIP -- A body found inside a car that had been submerged at a DNR Access Site apparently was a suicide victim, authorities said.

On Wednesday night, officials pulled the vehicle from the access site in Bolles Harbor, a popular boat launch that leads to Lake Erie. Inside the car was a man's body.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported that the victim is from the Downriver area and apparently committed suicide. The body and vehicle had been submerged for more than a week, officials said.

The vehicle was discovered when a boat struck it as the vessel was preparing to dock. The Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Department and the sheriff's dive team assisted at the scene.

Bolles Harbor, home of the stubby dock. I launched there once last year. With only a 22 foot boat I could not dunk the boat and tie it off. I had to fire it up and pull it to another empty dock, then run back and pull the truck out.

Our boat ramp has deep drop off/holes after the cement pads end...
local a-hole dock/boat lift installer remover's barge was too much for his dually to pull out.
Dug holes until he finally got out.
Told neighbors that he would be back to fix damage....
guess what.
Not a stand up guy.
P.O.S.
Local authorities, lake association, and state DNR which own the ramp won't follow through even after being told who did the damage.
:(
Guess public funds will fix what this private business douche wrecked and then lies about.

Yeah. I just looked at a pic of my boat there. The bow was hanging over dry concrete. :o

But she was floating. Maybe by inches up front.... but...

Looked at a 290 PQ there a handful of years ago. It was still winter, all the boats in the rack storage marina had broken scags. There was only 2 boats without damage. The 290 was ok, but for some reason the hour meters had came up missing. Did not buy that boat.

When the water is only five feet deep and the water is full of cars with dead people in them, you're gonna have that. Fortunately, you can only see a few inches down.
