Got the mufflers and inserts done, I will get the pictures this week, it took the harshness out, still sounds good, I have a video of them in the slip running. I will get pictures as well. Went by on purpose close to 3 different water patrol on Saturday who were just sitting and observing, they looked and went about what they were doing. Going to take my meter this weekend to see what DB it is now.

When are you headed to the Shootout?

Update to start the year, put on bigger drive spacers, took off the 380 planes and put on 280's,will use the same props, have another set to try, same size only rounded tips. BB Blades thinks the rounded props will be the ticket. We will see in the next few weeks.

with the 3" spacers and the same props I used last year the handling has improved drastically. It also planed out easier and faster. the bow is now up and the boat is on the second step or past it. It was calm and early in the am with very few boats out, I took it from the state park to my house. I will be pleased if it does well in the slop this weekend.

I also have a set of rounded ear props with the same dimensions that BBLADES says will make a difference as well, but I want to have time in the same conditions to change them and see for sure.

I had previously tried 1 and 2 inch spacers as well no spacer, this by far was the ticket to date.

Going down this weekend a staying the week, had to put the pontoon in this last week end and entertain some non boaters.

Small bugs here and there, speeds are creeping up. It frees up and takes off at 80, have not seen the top yet, I should be down every weekend now and the 2 weeks surrounding the shootout and see what the top end is. Lowering the drives and the shorter K planes definitely helped. The rounded ear props BB Blades wanted me to try will not work with the drives set where they are now, it gave it way to much lift and was just as unstable as when I had the bow steer.

So I have those props to sell.

Found out similarly about added cup or round ear props on these boats. Swapped my bblades set up props for some labbed/no additional cup props and the boat was night and say different.

Hope to hear more about the 46 of spikers as he gets it dialed in

Going to start over again, I have put the smaller K planes on, and I am going to go back to the original X dimension and take the spacers out and try the 3 sets of props that I have one of which is the rounded ear props and see where it takes me. I now have access to a ramp that is 5 minutes from my shop building so I can leave my tools out and install the spacers as I need to see what work with what.
