Small diameter props

What types of boats benefit from smaller diameter props?

I have a set of 30P Maximus that were cut to 15 1/8. On my Formula 382 they did great til I got into 2-3 ft chop...then one prop would start to loose it's bite on the water.

What types of boats benefit from smaller diameter props?

I have a set of 30P Maximus that were cut to 15 1/8. On my Formula 382 they did great til I got into 2-3 ft chop...then one prop would start to loose it's bite on the water.

From what I understand, smaller diameter equals less stern lift. If the boat is squirrely, try them. Could be wrong though.
