It was an incredible weekend. The stories made here these past few days will be told and retold for many years. It was a great success over the course of 3 fun-filled, action-packed days while focusing on making a positive difference in the lives of our less-fortunate children and their families supported by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Thursday night consisted of a wonderful captain's dinner kicking-off the events of the following days bringing together many of our fellow friends, both old and new.

Friday was a big day for all of us in attendance and of course for the kids and their families joining us for what turned out to be a beautiful day of fun in the sun and boating. We were fortunate enough to be able to provide rides for well over 100 kids and family members, brightening up their day and bringing a little bit of sunshine into their lives. It was absolutely heart-warming seeing the smiles on these kids faces and witness their excitement and anticipation throughout the day. The smiles were priceless and very uplifting.

Saturday was another big day of poker running, bringing us to some nice stops along the beautiful waterways of Ft. Myers/Sannibel, Florida. We started out with a bit of rain in morning which followed in the wake of a passing cold front, but it ended up being a near perfect day with a pleasant mix of a warm breeze and sunshine. We ate cheeseburgers in paradise and enjoyed company and conversation with all of our fellow participants. The day concluded with a great evening dinner party which included a charity auction benefiting the Make-A-Wish foundation that showcased the great generosity, kindness and comradery that we all shared.

It was a huge success giving these fine people the ride of their lives and raising $10,000 for Make-A-Wish. It was a pleasure being a part of this weekend.

Thanks to all of my fellow friends from SOS and Platinum for everything they did for making this happen.

And special thanks to Jayboat and David (Swede) for working their magic with the cameras. Those guys never disappoint.

:)

Here we go!

Have a good and safe weekend guys. All the best to the kids.

That picture with everyone in their boxers is somewhat disturbing....

For you up north guys those are called "shorts" or "short pants" and can be worn year round due to the absence of "snow, ice and other cold weather issues."

Seriously I wore "long pants" to work 4 times last year!

Ah- twins....

ummm, no. :willy_nilly:

Here's a pair...
