Obama's 300C on eBay

Only a Idiot would buy that car for more than normal price.

Only George Castanza would buy it I hope.:sifone:

I follow the collector market a bit. Celebrity cars typically hold no additonal value beyond the timeframe that the celebrity is newsworthy- and then only to a very narrow group- typically fans of celebrity, not automobiles.

The cars that have been owned by celebrities that have achieved elevated-market-price collectibility typically are cars that were unique or special in their own right.

Cars owned by some of the biggest-name sports and entertainment celebrities seem to hit the market all the time. But they usually don't yield any premioum prices- at least not sustainable prices dureble through the vehicle changing hands.

Exactly. When a newer celeb car goes on the market, ferrari lambo they typically get bad response due to maintenance issues. Used and abused

Now something like Jayne Mansfield's pink Caddy- or one of Elvis' cars would be a different story. But I can't think of any instance that ANY individual's ownership caused a vehicle to be woth 10+ times what it otherwise would be.

You're right about alot of celebs- they treat an exotic like a Hertz rental.

Jayne who? I only go back to Smokey and the Bandit..... part 2 :03:

had a few athletes live in a subdivision I ran in TX. They beat the chit out of everything they owned. It was a joke. A bunch of the Stars hockey players owned ferraris bentleys lambos and astons. My dealer told me they always brought them in beat pretty bad, fixing all sorts of crap.

Not saying that all are like that but many of them are....

In Obama's case... it probably wasn't used and abused... but you may have some residual narcotics in there. Just saying. This is the third president in a row who has actually copped to prior narcotics use.
