Obama Expects Support for more Afghanistan Troops

Military officials expect an infusion of approximately 32,000 to 35,000 troops to begin in February or March, the largest expansion since the beginning of the war and one that could bring the cost above $75 billion annually.

Neither he nor his advisers has detailed an exit plan, but the strategy he is expected to describe next week would include specific dates that deployments could be slowed or stopped if necessary, a senior military official said. The official and others spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision was not final.

Where are the anti-war (anti-Bush) people now? :lurk5:

"Neither he nor his advisers has detailed an exit plan"

Isn't that what the whole friggin re-election and election frenzy was all about?

MOre of the same...... People get into office and realize the facts and do the same friggin thing...

Wake up people...we (not me) eleted a socialist and they're taking over slowly and steadily... watch your azz! :(

So what's the point? We supported Bush and his war efforts but now that BO has figured out we can't just pull the plug, and we need more troops, we don't support the war effort?

If we had originally put as much effort into Afghanistan as we did in Iraq, we would've gotten bin Laden, put a dent in Al-qaida, and Iraq wouldn't have been nearly as difficult as it is.

So what's the point?

The point is that the wars in both Iraq and Afganistan dominated the Bush Presidency. Obama said that he would end the wars and bring the troops back. McCain said that it wasn't that simple, and he was right.

But, the majority voted for Obama and his (false) promises. Now I want to hear from the anit-war (anti-Bush) people and have them explain it for me.

U will hear, it's still Bush's fault!:(

[PRECISELY!!

Don't forget though, Bush started the bail-outs and Dems are taking credit.....

I'm still trying to figure out how he has a nobel peace prize... Other than being elected what are his greatest accomplishments?
