Nordic Boats 28 SS Hits 130 MPH With Twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R Engines

After missing that the latest Nordic Boats 28 SS powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines reached 130 mph on Arizona’s Lake Havasu in early April, speedonthewater.com talked to the owner of the boat and he thinks he might have a couple of more mph in it.

Interesting. The very first time, out of all the 400's I've seen, where it doesn't hit the limiter even after it is going over 7000RPM. Every one Skater has tested gets close to 7000, then it hits the limiter and drops it down by 100RPM or so and it bounces like crazy in that range under 7000 until you back off.

Never bounces and even hits 7000RPM, ever. He must have gotten a pair of test motors or something? 7090RPM?
