New twist on the European boat buying scams

Get them all the time, but you can always tell by the broken English and the way the message is worded, always the same. But yesterday I got an inquiry from England, perfect English and spelling, perfect grammar.Tho I thought it strange that an Englishman would have a pontoon shipped there,I replied with a price, nothing more. He just replied that he would take it,would wire transfer the funds immediately after I gave him all my bank info:) and have the boat picked up. I pushed delete, but wonder if any sellers actually fall for this? The scammers are getting more creative,I guess:(

Why so afraid of giving out your bank info? Really? It's only you americans that are so damn nervous about that. It's not like your giving away your creditcard info...

Would you prefer a bank check, that Europe stopped using 15 years ago :26::biggrinjester:

Are you sure it was a scam?

I usually send an email back stating while it is convienent to wire the funds....transaction of a delicate nature should be handled in person and if they are willing to do that and give out their info then take another baby step!!!!! Most times they never answer back!!!!!
