I dont think it would be a good idea to have someone sitting in the back no matter what the rules say. Do you know how hard it would be for the CG to find your skinny lil 188 lb a$$ out in the middle of that big ocean, cause I aint turning back to pick u up if Im racing the A$$ Clowns
Aw...I like you, I just want to see you in something other than a center console...like find an old race boat and restore it.
The rules we had at the HORBA Bimini race last year did not allow for cc's and we tried to allow the boats of the era to run as they did back then.....ie the original Cigarette.
There seems to be some confusion about this years race to Bimini and HORBA's involvement.....we are in no way associated with the race this year.
There were some flyers being handed out at the Miami Boat show that incorrectly referred to the race this year, as a tribute race to Don Aronow. After this error was pointed out to Larry Goldman, this years race promoter, he realized the error and promised that those flyers would be corrected with new ones and the new ones would have no reference to the Aronow name or HORBA.
HORBA and only HORBA has the agreement with the Aronow family to use that name in conjunction with offshore powerboat races. We are doing our own thing and will have the Miami to Key West race next February 2010....center consoles welcome MM.
