LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Team CMS roared to victory this weekend at Lake Race 2016. Bob Bull and Randy Scism took the lead early with tight turns and blazing speed.
#3 CMS edged out Cat Can Do, in a rivalry that has spanned several years of the race. This year’s Lake Race brought a large turnout, with more than three dozen boats competing on the race course across 11 categories.
Can Can Do took the top Lake Race trophy in 2014, after Team CMS was disqualified for missing a buoy. In 2015, two boats from the CMS Team—#3 and #03—took first and second place, respectively, and Cat Can Do didn’t finish the race that year.
This year's race was the best attended yet by boaters lining the course on all sides until a strong downpour and strong winds drove much of the crowd away and delayed action for an hour before the last heat of the day.
