Lake of the Ozarks Boat Crashes Into Shore, Four People Airlifted

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A boat crash after dark left four people with serious injuries on Friday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Steven Boland, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was driving a 2015 Four Winns runabout upstream at the 7 Mile Marker of the Niangua Arm when the boat slammed into the shoreline. Three occupants in the boat were thrown overboard.

Four people ended up with serious injuries and were airlifted to treatment.

Steven Boland, Mikayla Boland, and 20-year-old Cynthia Collins of Des Moines, were taken to University Hospital. Abigail Williams, 20, of Cedar Rapids, was flown to Mercy Hospital.
