July 4th, fireworks, SW Florida

We went to the annual Port Charlotte / Punta Gorda fireworks show, over the Peace
River. Some what smaller show this year, our town, like most, are having to cut back.

All shot with 7D | EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, and this was the first time, this camera
has been on a tripod.

Some cool shots Frank. I've never tried to shoot fireworks, have to test it out sometime...

Thanks, and yes, getting the exposure correct with the rapidly changing light
conditions, is tricky.

Thanks, but next time I will try a longer exposure, I will start the shot a bit
sooner, to catch more of the trail, and I will work on eliminating the camera
shake.

All in all, this was the first time I had this camera on a tripod, and I am
reasonably pleased with the results.
