Pat Dillon had a wild ride at Wanganui's Shelter View Jetsprint track in the opening round of the New Zealand Jetsprint Championship on Decmber 27th 2013. The Hulk after posting a 47 second run went out in the first round of eliminations with a slip up at the tricky hairpin but during a later sponsor's ride a misjudgement early in the rotation at a high speed kink sent the beautiful supercharged machine barrel-rolling out of the track and into the spinout pool.
"They landed the right way up but the boat was full of water sinking, the nav got out of his seat but pat was suck (sp) and couldn't get out, when i got to the boat his mouth was about to go under water, they were both in shock. that was amazing that he walked away the next day." Matthew Newell
