I olnly had time to take it out once, last wed in the rain and already feel i could use more speed (pop). How do i check to see if its proped right.:driving: Jaime

hi Bouy, just read your other post, i thought check the prop for now and maybe get me through the season. plan on taking it out this wweekend, so ill get info on the prop, and what ##s do i need.

if its a stock 454 ( or close ) don't run it over 5400 RPM when trimmed out to the max ( indicator + 6 on a 0-10 ) @ WOT .

If it turns that @ 3/4 throttle your prop is to small ( pitch )
If it turns less then 5000 , its to big !

Hope this helps , to at least get a guid line ! :cheers2:

Jaime, ask this same question in the Prop Tech section, or call Pantera, I'm certain Jo or Pepe can answer this right on the money.

If it's a stock 454/330 don't rev it anymore that 5000 tops!

You're going to have to use anecdotal advice from most of us since it has a #3 on it and most had bravos. Pepe and Jo are absolutely great for offering insight and almost always pick up the phone.

I ran a Mirage + 23 on my old 24 with a stock 330 and that seemed about right.

Stock cast iron crank(310hp,330hp) 454s like 4200-4600 rpm. 454 Mags like 48600-5000. Hope that helps.

It's helpful to get your tach calibrated so you know it's dead on.
