it's time to migrate away from OSO?

I've spent the last secveral years posting and lurking (mostly lurking) on OSO. I checked it multiple times a day. it was a real community of similar interests. I am a very loyal person, but don't feel that site has a future. anyone else share similar feelings?

BTW, for those that i don't share identical polical views, I still thak you for engaging and discussion views and making both sites a community, not a mono-theological domocial.

OSO will probably survive; so theoretically it has a future, however it will never be the same. As Sunkin stated, the 500-700 members who start all threads and do most of the posting will rarely be there, so the whole theme, feel & subject matter will have little or no relevence to most avid Offshore enthusiasts.
Although it will still draw an audience due to certain interesting threads and some hilarious drama....

I guess we are all different. I usually go there first.
I can think of 4 other sites that were started as the new and better OSO. It still seems to be the one that the new guys try to beat. At least that seems to be the goal of some of the members of the newer sites.
IMHO, OSO improves evertime a bunch of the drama queens leave.

I still have fond feelings toward OSO and the people that I met there. I really like this site, because it is kind of a concentrated subset of some of the people whose posts that I guess I read the most.
I don't view this site as anti-OSO and I never remember anybody ever talking about hurting it when the founding was going on.

I don't see a time where I will want to be anti OSO. Having said that... I am not a fan of IB. I think that they have mis-managed that site.

I have three vehicles. They each serve different purposes. When I take the truck, I don't start hating the convertible. I just leave it until I need it. Kind of an analogy.

Too much history (if they don't keep deleting it) for it to die. As long as IB keeps power to the servers it will be up- just not the 1st stop for most.

I pop in here and BF every day- OSO every few days, SW and THT every few weeks. Good people and good info on all.

We can't get 100% on 1 site- no wonder there will never be 1 racing org! LOL!
