Is anybody down-sizing their engine due to $$$$?

I wonder if anybody with a custom built blown engine is trying to trade down from the engine that is more tempermental and consumes more fuel to something that is smaller with the hopes of keeping their family on the water? I was thinking about this last weekend in Havasu how you see the guys with the bigger engines not running as frequent and when they do run, they don't run them as hard. Just a thought, what do you think?

Ummmm, NO. I've been running the heck out of mine this year. Been out 7-8 times. I upgraded three seasons ago to 800's (not blown) and love 'em.

Hey Craig, :) you work for the gooberment it don't count!

At least things are staring to show signs of life on the commercial side! :)

I have put 12 hours on my Cigarette so far this year, and dont plan on stopping anytime soon!!! :sifone:

I run some mild, close-to-stock power, but it's because I don't need anymore headaches, I just want to fire 'em up and go. I've run about 1200 gallons so far this year. Think I'm coming up on 40 hours in 2009.

You got rid of the prochargers?

No, going bigger.
Although, I'm hoping the dirty pigs ( 575SCi's)
will be a little "greener" after the ECM's get
reprogrammed by Mr Horspower1.

Bought 2 more worry free years of Merc warranty and fuel is 1/2 the price it was last year = runnin the snot out of it still.

I run about 50 hours a season and getting a late start due to the weather but hoping to do at least the same this year. Low hours since every place I run is less than 15 miles from home; on the boat 10 hours a day all weekend but only put 1 hour on the meter.

I was so sick and tired of fuel costs on my big inch NA motor that I decided to blow it up... :D

I'm thinking forced induction on the next one.
