Bought a dock that has a charger and input jacks (Yellow, red and white). Once I plug the jacks all up, how do I make it play through the device I have plugged into? It didn't come with any instructions. (If it matters any, it is an iPhone.)

assumming that the yellow is video and the red and white are audio, you plug the red and white wires into the back of the stereo receiver/head unit. Then on the receiver/head unit you select the source for the jacks that are connected to the red and white wires.

It should work.

It didn't. I think it is something to do with the iPod settings has anyone got one of these setups?

doesnt sound like its connecting. make SURE the cord is usable for an IPHONE and not just an IPOD.. I have chargers that plug into my iphone perfectly and dont do squat because they were designed for an IPOD.

10 bucks says your dock doesn't work with an iPhone. Not all iPod accessories work with the phone.

There shouldn't be anything you have to do on the phone when you plug it into the dock.

What rain said. Don't think the video acbles work with iphone. Also most of the old junk won't work with 3g ipod/phone. If the ipod don't recognise that its plugged into something on the ipod display it won't work for sure.
