Does anyone have the scoop on them?

I think the State of Florida is bound and determined to gank my license. They are requiring me to get releases from six different doctors to prove I can drive. Driving was never my problem, balance walking has been. I think I called the governor's office and complained too many times, so a couple months ago a lady showed up at my house from the Div of Hwy Safety and Motor vehicles, escoted by not just one, but two highway patrol cars, and one Volusia County Sheriff. I thought they were lost looking for a convict who escaped hear here the week before. I knew I was wrong when the first FHP guy told me, "Keep your hands away from your pockets!" I couldn't believe it, they were looking for me! Anyway, there is no way I can get the forms signed off in the time frame they gave me, so I'm either going to get an International Driver's License, move to Costa Rica, or have a doc from Costa Rica sign off on my forms. I have a long time buddy who goes to CR about eight times a year, and he said there would be no problem getting a doctor sign off on it.

I'm seriosly thinking of moving to CR or Belize. The USA just ain't what it used to be.

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. I'm going to Longwood (just this side of Orlando) tomorrow to find out more about it.

the international licenses are worthless. if that scam worked everyone out there that has a suspended license from a dui or unpaid parking tickets would have one. if your license gets ganked, the first thing a cop will do when you hand him an international license is run your name and find out you Fl. license is suspended/revoked and he will then give you shiney new bracelets.

Never call The Man. Or write. Stay away from the Supreme Court. Never call the Governor. Never call the Mayor. Don't call 911. Do not draw attention to yourself. Get a new ID, but also a new name. Gain some weight and change your hair color.

Get a Georgia license while you still have a Florida license to present to Georgia. Know anyone in Georgia that would let you use their address?

UPS Store- you get a real street address vs a "PO Box"; then have them forward your mail to your home address.

I had to do this once when I was running from Columbia drug lords. Send me $10,000 USD in small bills to my UPS Store address and I will tell you where I buried 10 times that.

It's funny- I've driven a bunch in Florida over the years. Between the retirees and the immigrants, their highways make Mad Max look like Sesame Street.

6 beers a day is considered moderate here. I told my doc that I drank 6 beers a day and he said "I am glad that you have cut down. Keep it up."

It is not suspended or revoked yet. I called Tallahassee, and she said, "Any licensed medical professional". I made an appt tomrrow with my old GP, he may sign off on it, or I might apply for my citizenship in Costa Rica this weekend. My buddy said you have to show $900 a month income to become a citizen.

My cousin drove here from Oregon to help me out. He's staying at his sister's in St Pete right now, I'm sure I could say I moved in with him. He may be here tomorrow, or the next day.

I got it today anyway. I wanted to reup for AAA anyway. I've been to AAA in St Pete, and it's a big one, but it looks like a crack house compared to the one in Heathrow (Lake Mary). I told them the place was HUGE! It's the World Headquaters for AAA. The address is 100 AA Drive.

My doc had me cut down to four quarts of whiskey, and all the wine I could drink. It was rough going cold turkey like that.
