Need a couple of pieces of alumimun gunnel trim for a pontoon boat shipped from builder in Missouri to AL.24'x5" x 2".Only costs about $50 a piece, but having difficulty finding a reasonable shipping method.Always had it shipped with new pontoon boats, but don't have any on order now.Has to be shipped in full 24' lengths.Any thoughts?

You're gonna have to find a private back haul or pay big bucks......

Got any carpet dealers or distributors in the area? The center cardboard tube(s) from a carpet roll might work. Then just ship it common carrier.

Is there any trailer places near by that may have some trailers coming your way? I was lucky enough to get some metal shipped that way a while back. If they can get it strapped to some 2X4's that will help protect them. Try Forward Air?

Robert, give DocmanRICH37 a call at 540.400.5536. He has a car hauler and is everywhere always. He might could handle picking it up for you.

All good suggestions.I just now lucked out, there is a trailer builder in the same town,he is delivering some trailers to the east coast and going thru Birmingham in 2 weeks and will tie the trim to a trailer frame and meet me on the way. Thanks everyone.
