How Many Hours Behind The Stick(s)?

WOW,no idea:sifone: I would say several K hours.Grew up on the water and was in the boat 5 to 6 hours a day from may to august and all other days that were warm was from bell to dark. now I just log about 10 a month.:boxing_smiley:

My hourmeter rolled over :)

Boating since 1965, owned a marina in Chicago for 20 years, spent the winters boating in Florida from 1975 until I moved here permanently in 1995.

Many thousands. Let's see if MM pitches in on his log :)

Hmm, starting running the tinny at 6 by myself. Figure thats 39 years at a 100 to 150 hrs a year give or take so.......

LOTS :)

Neat discussion, but unfortunately shows how ignorant some of us spent money over the last 20 years or more. I actually had to write down the boats and came up with 10 boats that I had bought since the year I graduated college in 1993, of which 7 were brand new ranging from 19 foot for the first one all the way to several 38's(and 5 waverunners). I know prior to college graduation I had over 300 hours a summer on our family ski boat from ice thawing to winterization in fabulous Illinois waters for at least 10 years. The last 6 boats totaled over 1500 hours so that would be about 4-5k hours and in excess of 50,000 gallons of fuel. Wow!!!!! That would put my kids through college but damn they had a good time boating since they were born!!!!! Probably one of the funniest moments of realizing that we used our boats a lot was when the gas dock I used wanted me to bring my boat down for a picture when they were named the #1 gas dock at LOTO and they wanted me to be in the picture as one of their best customers. Great memories!!

You make a good point...I'm sure I don't even want to know how much it's been throughout the years.
To see that number in black & white would be

Luckily, I can consider myself to be on the sane side of this, as I've limited my boating activities to disposable income only - meaning it's only the leftover after the priorities and investments have been taken care of....sure as hell don't want to wake up at 70 years old and realize I've boated away my retirement.
At the same time, life is short, you've got to enjoy it while you can. :26:

At least a 1,000 or more on pleasure crafts/Offshore. but alot of tugboat Hours under my belt. You hear the phrase (You will pop like a bug) if U get between the dock and Mr. Tug
