I've seen reference to the trippledigets for a few years now and I'd like a primer...
As an aside, as a person who just watched a 21 foot boat with a twin turbo big block win it's class (and finish in the top 5 overall) in the Catalina Ski race, what's the big deal about a "micro boat"? Seems to me, that until about 15 years ago a 24 foot boat was a decent sized boat.

quick synopsis
1) came on and basically said everyone with a high dollar boat was an idiot and he could outrun them in his small block alpha sh*tbox
2) challenged people to race and never showed up
3) argued with some of the more knowledgeable people in the industry
4) claimed the members were giving him death threats and was sicking the feds on us

This is coming back to me now... One of those areas that I didn't pay much attention to on the old site, but I remember the Alpha part of the story... Thank you!

I know you used to pretty much stay in the Pantera section, welcome to the rest of the fun stuff:rofl:
I'll try to jog your memory a little more...
He basically tried to bait all the "big expensive" boats to a race against his 20 something Stingray, with the small-block, and the "modified" Alpha (with the circles and the arrows, and the paragraph on the back of each one)...
He then would only race for $1000.
and the conditions had to be something like:
- at least a 1 foot chop, but not a 2.
- the wind had to be out of the East, at no less than 10, but no more than 12 mph.
Just a bunch of BS...
Didn't show up for anything that was set up because the boat was "down",
and then he'd get the hunk-o-chit to the water for a day, and he would post that he was out there, and everyone was too afraid to come out and play.
It was all funny, and fine and good the first time. But, this went on repeatedly for months...
I think he also tried running the outside line as a non-payer at an organized PR. And he was posting about how he was faster than...
