Was anybody there? I watched from the same vantage point as last year. Had some excitement, as a marker cut loose and floated toward the dock making the turn progressively closer to the dock, until of course they figured it out. Ed Smith in Cleveland Construction obviously noticed it when it was far too close to the dock, as it was virtually behind it, and Shawn chopped the throttles. But then Ed, being Evil Ed, doused the dock with an outstanding flyby. Good show like last year and I even bought a few shirts. At the Cleveland gang, the guy told me 15 bucks and I asked how much to get Ed to sign it. He shrugged and said, "It's still gonna cost you 15 bucks.":rofl:

We couldn't make it this year unfortunately. Terri had surgery recently and has still not recovered. Jim had the engines out of both boats to get fixed. Missed it, it's such a great site.

Weather was outstanding, 70s with a breeze, a little warm on race day but by no means objectionable. I didn't go as pic-happy as last year, but here's a few more.

Tyler's running really good in class 4. I know he wants to move up to class 3 but is having trouble finding gears to work....

Was there!!! Had a great time, street parade was awesome, lots of people. Was one of the pace boats.

Sweet Guss. You have any time to get some shots while you were out on the water? That's almost always the best seat in the house....


Although the end of the pier at Tawas has a great opportunity....

Paul to tell you the truth when i stoped in Saginaw to vist my Father ( thur ) i ended up putting him in the Hospital along with having to go back to Saginaw late Sat nite and travling back to Tawas early Sun morning to watch the race , and back to Saginaw once again on Mon so ...................with that in mind pics were not even a thought at the time .

Paul , thank you for asking but in my opinion when is Doctor tells him that he is very stubborn , and will not listen to her advise , and there .......is nothing more she can do , i think the end is very near considering he only weighs in at 95 LBS .
