Here to Stay

Some of their vids are downright derranged, I know a handfull of people who have met Jon Davis in person by pure accident that say that he is a very posotive and highly motivational person.

This is a band I've been pretty hot on of late...

There's a song called Welcome to the High Life (that I can never seem to find online) that just flat out smokes the tires all the way down the block.

Sort of that whole Southern Psychometal scene in general (Nashville P*ssy, Alabama Thunderp*ssy, etc.)

Ha! I just heard them for the first time the other day .... reminds me of somebody else ... 80s hair band days but I havent been able to put my finger on it yet. Definitely a driving tune for sure

Ha! Thats how I came by that song this morning ... pulled out an old CD that I burned a few years ago ... Korn, Cold, Bush, Megadeth, Soil, Static X ... Its a good one .. I even took it with me went I went to work :sifone:

I love static x, we used to play clubs in sd and la with them and system

Like a heavier version of WASP maybe?

That was my first thought but .... Im not sure. I do love Blackies voice. Always had to skip the first song when the kids were small :sifone:

Chainsaw Charlie too but I couldnt find that one....

There was a guy who used to play for WASP that was playing with the newest version of the GODZ for a while. We used to email for a while ... cant remember his name now .... Rick maybe ... name that was a while ago ... like .. 5 years or so :D

Speaking of Jonathans ..... has anybody ever seen the cover band Evenflow? They are a Vegas based band and while the name might make you think they are a Peal Jam cover band, they aint ... altho they did do Pearl Jam amazingly. The lead guitarist is Jonathan Daniels and this kid is awesome. These guys play at the Carnival Bar between Harrahs and the Imperial Palace. Angie and I were going to go meet up with Chris (RedDog) but we couldnt stop watching this band. (Sorry Chris) :D

The set list is picked by the audience. They have a bucket at the front of the stage and people put in song requests and the band picks a slip of paper and plays it. Everything from Outkast, to Aerosmith, to Big and Rich, to Metallica, to Bon Jovi, to KC and the Sunshine Band, to Neil Diamond and they did it all well. The lead singer and Jonathon kinda went back and forth so between the two of them, they did them all. I think there were only two songs all night that they said no to. One was Slipknot .. and .. well maybe the other wasnt even a song request cuz the singer guy read the paper and just started laughin ... hmm ... maybe somebody requested something else :D

Anyway, I havent had so much fun in a long time. I'd love to see these guys again ... just hate to have to go to Vegas to do it :sifone:

:( Wow - that would definitely ruin your day... and yup ... I can only imagine what Fred is like miserable :(

Yeah, Fred's seriously depressed,,and there is NO talking to him, his daughter and her 2 kids are taking it better than Fred is...That is the 3rd person in his family that he has had to bury from cancer in the last 10 years, his wife about 10 years ago, his oldest son about 5 years ago and now Dusty. And at his age (72) he's wondering why everyone around him is dying(and younger than him/and he has alot of health problems) We're gonna skip Myrtle this year and do the thunder on the beach rally in Ft. Walton Beach.
